Israeli aid helpful for Haiti, field hospital set up The Israeli delegation (more then 200 people) landed in the capital of Haiti on January 15 and established an operation center and field hospital in Port-au-Prince. Rescue teams comprise of search and rescue personnel, canine operators and medical staff. The field hospital includes 40 doctors, 25 nurses, paramedics, a pharmacy, a children’s ward, a radiology department, an intensive care unit, an emergency room, operating rooms, a surgical department, an internal department and maternity ward. The field hospital medical staff keeps themselves awake to save lives. 190 injured people were treated so far, half of them were children. Israeli soldier saved 3 days baby and donated blood for her. National Radio Station of Haiti thanked Israeli delegation and marked that it is a delegation that came to save lives not only of their citizens. The delegation is scheduled to stay in Haiti for a minimum 2 weeks.
